Corban College helped make this recording so you could head two sound samples of this violin. The recording was made April, 27, 2010 at their new "Psalm" Center concert hall on campus at Salem, Oregon. Our special thanks to professor John Bartsch for arranging everything and for violinist/ student Ian Derickson for the fine playing. He used his own bow for this recording and electronic effects were added to recording, just a straight record of what was produced. Recorded by a single microphone suspended in front of and above the stage, perhaps 20 feet from the performer. This violin is only two weeks old at this point.
The special features of this full sized violin are that all 65 wood pieces of this insturment are "rub tone" matched and all wood pieces have been surface treated with "Dutch Rush" during construction. Other details will be found in the Opus #24 description elsewhere. My acoustical adjustment technique was applied to each piece as it was added to the instrument.
