These sections are made of 1" square cold rolled steel tubing. Joints are heli-arc welded with hi-strength weld rod (walls are 0.050" thick). They provide extra security to feet in event of accident and provide solid anchoring for front suspension and roll bar and rear space frame attachment (thus spreading loads out into the attached aluminim monoque chassis).

eight 1/2" threaded fastners for attaching back half of frame.

eight bolts (4 per side) for attaching roll bar base.
