...This violin was completed May 2002. The top is of book matched Eurpoean Silver Spruce from a cello top block. I used the outside-most wedges of wood and book matched them for the highest possible tone advantage (190 year old tree) ...The back is outside wood from a French Maple, well flamed and center joined. . ..The inspirational poem for this instrument is: .....The rain began to patter down, ....... after a week long sunny spell, ..........and the little birds broke into song... . photos below: |
