I imagine you can see how the finish has excellent depth and warmth. This type of finish should be pleasing to look at for many years.

To keep the fine silicone carbide flexible 'papers' cutting cleanly, I scrub them in mild detergent with a tooth brush. The stiff foam sanding pad is also visible in the photo.
